Melissa Grimm

Executive Director of the PA Energy Alliance

Melissa Grimm is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Energy Alliance, which works to increase public awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of nuclear energy. Ms. Grimm brings to the Alliance more than 16 years of experience and leadership.

Most recently, Ms. Grimm co-founded g2 Communications, where they provide corporate and non-profit clients with a wide range of marketing and communications services including public and media relations, social media, brand strategy and market research. Prior to that, she founded and led her own firm, Gramercy Group LLC, where she put her proven leadership, communications and planning skills to work for corporations, universities, institutions and non-profits.

Before founding Gramercy Group, Ms. Grimm served as director of corporate and public affairs for Aqua America, Inc., which provides public drinking water and wastewater services to 2.8 million people in 13 states. She oversaw Aqua’s federal, state and municipal legislative affairs, communications, community involvement and corporate contributions. Ms. Grimm came to Aqua after serving as executive director of Philadelphia’s bid to host the 2016 Olympics and was previously director of the Port of Philadelphia and Camden.

Additionally, she has served on the boards of several notable organizations including the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce’s 3ci, United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, The Wellness Community of Philadelphia and the Center City Residents Association. In 2009, Mayor Michael Nutter appointed Ms. Grimm to the Board of Trustees for the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Ms. Grimm was also named one of Philadelphia’s 40 Under 40 by the Philadelphia Business Journal and one of Philadelphia’s Top 101 Connectors by Leadership Philadelphia.

Ms. Grimm holds a B.S. in business administration cum laude from Villanova University. She earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
